It's no secret that Apple is not a fan of jailbreaking of its Best iPhone 4 Case , but that distaste appears to be extending to the iPhone 4S Cases Store as well.
A search for the term "jailbreak" in the store yields dozens of instances where the titles of songs, apps, TV shows, and even podcasts have been asterisked out. While Apple believes the act of jailbreaking, or bypassing the restriction Apple places on standard iphone 4 covers that only allows the installation of applications only from approved sources, is a copyright violation. iBookstore is also affected.
A review of the App Designer iPhone 4 Case Store guidelines does not turn up any indication that this word is forbidden in titles. The seven-page App Store Guidelines has a section regarding metadata (which Apple specifies as app names and descriptions), however it only mentions that apps with descriptions that are "not relevant to the application content and functionality" getting rejected outright.
CNET has contacted Apple for comment on the matter, and we will update this report when we learn more.
The situation was first pointed out on Twitter by user "MuscleNerd," a self-described iPhone hacker:

Apple's Best iPhone 4 Case has been crowned the king of Designer iPhone 4 Cases by yet another research firm.

The Korean handset maker sold 86.6 million mobile phones in the first quarter, according to the latest stats from Gartner -- a 25.9 percent jump from the year-ago quarter. That gave Samsung a 20.7 percent share of the market and helped it win back the top spot for smartphone sales from Apple.

Samsung sold 38 million smartphones last quarter, accounting for more than 40 percent of all Android phones around the world. That figure was by far in the lead since no another Android vendor captured more than 10 percent of the market.

Second-place Nokia gave up its almost 15-year lock as the leading mobile phone vendor to Samsung.

The Finnish phone maker grabbed a mobile phone market share of 19.8 percent last quarter, according to Gartner. Nokia's handset sales dropped to 83.2 million, a 22.7 percent decline from last year's first quarter. The company has seen its sales and market share plummet as more consumers have gravitated to smartphones.

"Smartphone sales are becoming of paramount importance at a worldwide level," Gartner principal research analyst Anshul Gupta said in a statement. "For example, smartphone volumes contributed to approximately 43.9 percent of overall sales for Samsung as opposed to 16 percent for Nokia."

Apple took third place in the global mobile phone market. The iPhone maker scored 7.9 percent share in the first quarter, up from 3.9 percent a year ago. The iPhone 4S helped boost Apple's handset sales by 96.2 percent. The company's expansion into other countries and carriers also provided a healthy kick.

Accounting for iPhone unit sales of more than 5 million, China is now the second largest market for Apple, just behind the U.S.

RIM continues to struggle, ekeing out a worldwide market share of just 2.4 percent, down from 3 percent a year ago The company sold 9.9 million phones last quarter, down from 13 million in 2011's first quarter. The company is counting on its new BlackBerry 10 platform to turn the tide but faces several challenges.

"RIM desperately needs to deliver winning BB10 products to retain users and stay competitive," Gupta said. "This will be very challenging, because BB10 lacks strong developer support, and a new BB10 device will only be available in the fourth quarter of 2012."
The mobile industry as a whole witnessed a slight dip in sales last quarter.

Global sales of iPhone 4S Cases rang in at 419 million, a 2 percent drop from a year ago. A child from 1512 would be playing video games with his contemporary counterpart in a matter of hours-no problem. That same child would soon learn to use his thumbs to communicate with his peers. And, his parents would complain that he's consumed with fleshly pleasures and demand that he go chop wood, slop hogs or something equally unpleasant and non-tech related.

A scientist from the Orangutan Foundation International said that she isn't surprised by this analogous behavior, since Orangutans share some 97% of their DNA with humans**.

In the future, the Jungle Island scientists hope to equip the Orangutan habitats with ape-proof versions of computers or iPads. Good luck with that. I think that another similarity between young apes and young humans is that they care very little for preservation of anything that they, themselves, don't pay for. Since Orangutans also communicate through sign language, I'm sure my opinion about their personal use of technology would elicit the same gestures that their human counterparts flash at me after I launch a disapproving glance in their direction.

ou know those little ‘Intel Inside' sticker that adorn PCs? Well, CEO Paul Otellini has plans to make silicon "so compelling" that Apple will put Designer iPhone 4 Case in the iphone4.

Speaking during a Q&A session on Thursday at Intel's annual investor day in Santa Clara, California, Otellini was bullish about the company's ability to produce chips that Apple can't ignore.

"Our job," said Otellini, "is to ensure our silicon is so compelling ... in terms of running the Best iPhone 4 Case better or being a better iPad device, that as they [Apple] make those decisions they can't ignore us."

The A5X processor that currently powers the iPad 3 is system-on-a-chip - SoC - part that combines a dual-core CPU at 1 GHz and a quad-core PowerVR SGX543MP4 GPU into a single package. This SoC was designed by Apple and manufactured by Samsung at its plant in Austin, Texas.

Intel could help Apple change this. Its current line of Ivy Bridge processors is built using 22 nanometer architecture, but the company plans to have mobile processors based on this size of architecture available next year, with 14 nanometer architecture coming in 2014.
Smaller architecture not only means a smaller processor die, but lower power consumption and less heat. These are two features that are very important when it comes to mobile devices and mobile computing. Intel's expertise in miniaturizing transistors could certainly be beneficial to Apple when it comes to shrinking down the size of the iPhone 4S Cases and slashing battery consumption.

This is a tough question. For one, the iPhone 4S Cases was only announced this week. It won't go on sale in Europe until the end of the month. And it won't be available in the U.S. until this summer. What's more Samsung has not said exactly which carriers will get it first or even what the final specs will look like on the U.S. version of the device. And we still don't know the pricing for the phone here in the U.S.
As for Apple, it's also unclear when it will introduce the new Best iPhone 4 Case . Some people speculate it could be announced in June, as Apple has done with previous iPhone launches. But since the iPhone 4S was only announced in October, many believe that Apple has shifted the cycle slightly and the new device will be available in the fall. Since that device hasn't even been announced yet, there's no way to even try comparing it to either of the new Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich devices.
So what should you do?
Well the good news is that you have a little bit of time. You said your contract with AT&T doesn't expire until the summer. By that point, we should know where the Samsung Galaxy S III will be available in the U.S., and whether any of the specs have changed. We'll also have pricing information.
Also by summer, we will have a better handle on when Apple will announce its next product. Rumors of an iPhone 4S Cases have been floating around for a while. How many people would actually buy one?
Asked if they'd pick up a Best iPhone 4 Cases that cost between $249 and $300, a full 52 percent of those polled by shopping site PriceGrabber said yes. (What do you think? Take our poll!)
Doing the math, that means 48 percent aren't interested. But delving further, only 22 percent of all those surveyed currently own a tablet. Among those, 68 percent have an iphone 4 covers or Best iPhone 4 Case , while 10 percent own Amazon's Kindle Fire.
Why would half of those polled want a smaller iPad? The answers varied, with many people citing more than one reason.
A leading 64 percent pointed to the lower price compared to an iPad or iPad 2. Next, 54 percent said the smaller size would make the tablet more portable. A quarter of potential buyers said they'd pick it up as a gift. Some would buy it for work. And others would grab it just because they "love Apple products and always buy the company's latest and greatest products."
Among the features deemed most important in Designer iPhone 4 Case , the lower price was named by 84 percent. 3G connectivity was touted by 65 percent. The smaller size and an ultra thin body were each named by 60 percent. Other factors cited included the Retina display, Siri support, a unique and new design, and the belief that an iPad mini would be launched with iOS 6.

But now the iPhone has spread to virtually all of the major carriers and there are now iPhone models available for under $100.

Android badly needs a new advantage against the iPhone in the next stage of the mobile platform fight. It may get it from Canonical's Ubuntu for Android.
The Ubuntu factor

Ubuntu is a friendly version of Linux aimed at the masses. Unfortunately, the masses have never embraced it on a large scale, but it has proven to be usable enough that even your technophobic uncle can easily use Ubuntu to do things like surf the Web, check e-mail, and download photos from a digital camera.

While the Best iPhone 4 Case is winning on simplicity, Android is winning on expanded features (and it's still expected to have a 50 percent market share this year). One of those expanded features that the iPhone doesn't have is the ability to dock and act like a computer. Last week we looked at how Motorola Webtop pioneered this concept. However, Ubuntu has an alternative vision for smartphone/PC convergence and it's teaming with Android hardware makers on devices that will hit the market later in 2012.

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, has slowly and quietly evolved the Linux desktop into a legitimate low-cost alternative to Windows and Mac. Ubuntu's focus on usability with its Unity Desktop and Heads-Up Display (which is like a Google search for all of the menus on your computer) has given Ubuntu the simplicity it needs to compete in an era that's about to be dominated by touchscreens and cloud computing.

That's why when Canonical announced and demonstrated Ubuntu for Android at Mobile World Congress in February, it generated a lot of interest across the iPhone 4S Cases industry. Users liked the idea of a more full-featured desktop than Motorola's Webtop. Android phone makers liked the idea of using the software to build high-powered multi-purpose devices and make more money off smartphones accessories like desktop docks. And, wireless carriers loved the idea of powerful smartphones running desktop-level applications that will demand more data than ever.
"The feedback has been great," Canonical CEO Mark Shuttleworth said. "People that really got their hands on it have raved about it."

After the announcement, the Canonical booth at MWC 2012 was flooded with interest from corporate tech managers, consumers, and representatives from telcos and handset makers. All of them wanted to see what Ubuntu for Android could do. Everyone has seen the capabilities of Motorola Webtop -- as we talked about last week -- but it's limited to mostly desktop Web browsing and it's only available on Motorola phones. Ubuntu takes the concept a step further by opening it up to more apps and to all Android phone makers.

Shuttleworth said, "Webtop reminds [me] of ChromeOS. It's a browser story. We've pulled off a very different feeling... The full range of desktop apps are there."

When Ubuntu is loaded on an Android phone, the two platforms share the same iphone 4 covers , so it's not like running two operating systems. The two pieces act like complementary partners. The Android phone functions normally when used as a smartphone or when making calls, but when it docks then the Ubuntu desktop pops up and acts like a standard computer. You can open a desktop Web browser, but you can also install and run standard Ubuntu desktop software for photo editing, word processing, etc.

Because Ubuntu is so lean, the entire Ubuntu software stack only takes up about 2GB, and that includes apps for e-mail, Web browsing, photo editing, music, and other basic stuff. If you install more applications from the large Ubuntu repository of open source apps then that will obviously take up more space, but there's still plenty of storage on most modern smartphones to handle it. While Ubuntu takes up more storage than Webtop, it's also giving you a lot more capabilities.

"The Ubuntu solution is providing a complete PC operating system," said Richard Collins, the Product Manager for Ubuntu for Android. "Canonical has always seen the opportunity for Ubuntu for Android. It's something that's always been discussed, but once the hardware was ready then we realized the timing was good for this. [The software] is mature enough for us to engage with an OEM today."

Before joining Canonical in December 2011, Collins previously worked on smartphones for Designer iPhone 4S Case -- the operating system that used to power Nokia smartphones before CEO Stephen Elop dumped it for Windows Phone 7 last year.

Using the sharp edges of its current design language, the Urus concept presents a very unique look for a vehicle designed to drive offroad. Although about 16 feet in length, similar to the Best iPhone 4 Cases , the Urus concept is only about 5 and a half feet high, making it more like a raised sedan.
The concept does not appear to be based on any Best iPhone 4 Case , looking like it would use a front engine design. Lamborghini targets 600 horsepower for the output, but does not specify the engine configuration. A two car model line-up consisting of exotic sport cars leads to very shaky revenue. An SUV, which Lamborghini says would be a car "for everyday use, for the family, for leisure pursuits with friends," gives customers of the brand, who probably already own an SUV from another brand, a new option.

Given the pattern of Apple's iPhone launches, we're expecting the next-gen iPhone 5 to debut in mid to late 2012. We reckon it's most likely to be shown off at Apple's Worldwide Developer Event (WWDC), which usually takes place in early June.

Rumours that we reported on 18 October claim an iPhone 5 release date of Summer 2012. Analyst Ashok Kumar claimed that the absent iPhone 5 was meant to be the big announcement at the recent event where the iPhone 4S was launched.

Unlike the iPhone 4S, it'll be a completely new design from what has gone before, so that means an entirely new casing as we saw with the iPhone 3G and, later, the iPhone 4.

Interestingly, someone who claimed to have seen a larger-screened iPhone 5 prototype said in November 2011 that Steve Jobs canned the new handset and opted for the iPhone 4S because of the larger screen size of the new device. According to Business Insider, it was feared that a new size would create a two-tier iPhone ecosystem.
